One day I stepped into the Dojo of my judo club where the Sensei (the world master) ask who want to come forward for “Randori” (a free practise) with him. Most of my fellows judokas where more then 10 year older then me, and like me, none of them want to step on the Tami (the practise mat).
The Sensei then said; “You are scared for my skills as I have mastered many Dan but then I also can have a bad day as I’m now getting older, if you don’t try you have always lost”.
These words have opened my eyes and made me realise that what our mind always had blocked us from opening our eyes to see more than just what we think to know.
In the pursuit of learning, every day something is acquired. In the pursuit of Tao, every day something is dropped.
Less and less is done Until non-action (无为) is achieved. When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.
The world is ruled by letting things take their course. It cannot be ruled by interfering.
